THE original. Craft beer, home style Cajun cookin’, live music, and a community full of heart and soul. Oskar Blues Grill & Brew is located at the Gateway to the Rockies, Lyons, Colorado. So whether you just finished a great hike, a long bike ride, a whitewater kayaking run, or just want to stop in with the fam, Oskar’s has an ice cold, original craft beer and a hot meal waiting for you!
Oskar’s serves up yummy home style Southern eats and American classics. Always fresh, always locally sourced. I grew up 5 minutes down the road, so trust my recommendations because I’ve tried everything on the menu! So here’s my Top 3 Must-Try’s:
1. The Catfish Bites. These hand-battered catfish nuggets are hands down the best appetizer on the menu. They are always fresh, the batter has a bit of a Cajun kick to it, and the Remmy sauce makes this starter to DIE for!
2. The Jambalaya. Ever had a great bowl of Jambalaya? No you haven’t. Not until you have had a bowl from Oskar’s. Chicken, andouille sausage, and shrimp over a bed of dirty rice is sure to warm your soul.
3. The BBQ Pork Platter. A pile of juicy 12 hour slow smoked pulled pork with two delicious sides. Try the cheesy mac and the Texas toothpicks. You won’t regret it.
Oskar Blues puts the CAN in AmeriCAN. You’ll never see one of their craft beers in a bottle. Not only is aluminum easier to recycle, friendlier to the environment, and more portable than glass, but aluminum protects the beer against the damaging effects of sunlight and ingressed oxygen. The original Dale's Pale Ale is a “voluminously hopped mutha’ of a Pale Ale”. You’ll never be bored because many of their beers are seasonal- so git em’ while ya can!
Oskar Blues brings in talent from all over the country and from all different genres. From up and coming local bands to world renowned artists, you really never know who you might see in their line up! Stop in on any given night and you are sure to find no shortage of Lyons natives on the dance floor gittin’ down to some Bluegrass, Folk or Honky Tonk.
The Community and “Do- Goodery”
After the Flood of 2013 that caused so much devastation, Oskar Blues and the
town of Lyons showed the world the true meaning of support and community. The Can’d
Aid Foundation started out in 2013 to raise money to support small businesses
and families in need. They raised over $700,000! Since then the foundation has
evolved into a non-profit that supports communities across the US. Most
recently the brewery shipped off over 38,000 cans of drinking water to victims
of the floods in South Carolina. It’s all a part of Oskar Blues’ mission to
It just doesn't get more Colorado than Oskar Blues! #Getinhere
